Art Gallery David Shields and Jason Sabbides originally founded The Warrior’s Canvas & Veterans Art Center as a place for local U.S. military veterans to showcase and sell their art, with the long term goal of growing it into a professional gallery focused on veteran art. Participating veterans aren’t charged to display their art. The gallery charges a small 25% consignment fee if their work sells. The gallery and art center is completely run by volunteers so 100% of the proceeds from the gallery sales go towards our mission to improve the lives of local veterans and their community. Gallery sales help pay the rent and utilities, allow us to purchase additional art supplies, and help us to sponsor more community events and classes. Over time it has grown into a much needed resource for veterans and their community, providing a place to meet, work on art, and find purpose through community projects. The gallery is updated monthly so come on by and support the veteran art community.
